To Trim, Deflash, Cut & Grind Rubber
Mitchell Inc. offers a number of machines that we have standardized. Each model of machine can be customized to suit your needs. Adding special tooling, guarding, automation, and programming. If your facility standardizes on a certain type of machine controls we can provide that as well.
Trimmer / Deflasher
Also called skivers these machines trim excess flash from molded parts. They can also be used to cut parts to size or bevel edges. They are able to cut seals to a sharp edge not possible by molding.
Lathe Square Cut
Standard lathe cut machines with a single cutting head for producing square cut seals and gaskets. They can also cut tubing to precise length. We have standard models able to process diameters up to 12" and lengths up to 48". Custom size machines are also available. Available in manual load and self loading automated versions.
Lathe Angle Cut
Mitchell Inc. offers several angle cut lathe type cutters. Single, double and triple head with 1-3 cutting heads. Used for the manufacture of gaskets and seals with bevels, angles as well as straight cuts. These machines are also used to trim and chamfer rubber rolls.
Rubber Grinders
Mitchell rubber grinders are used for precision grinding of rubber rolls and tubing to produce precise wall thickness.
